merdan family houseThe six-member family Merdan from Počitelj lives in disastrous conditions of temporary housing with only 300 BAM of income. This encouraged students and employees of the High Economy School in Mostar to launch a charity campaign.

Students were touched when they accidentally found out that their classmate lives in difficult conditions and that she does not speak about this to anyone. Her father, a nightman, provides the entire income, which is not sufficient for the survival of six members of his family. His wife is unemployed, one son is five years old, the other one is in fifth grade of elementary school, and two daughters attend high school.

They receive no social aid and the Social Care Center stated that they must have someone severely diseased in the family in order to receive financial aid, and that is not the case here.

Payments can be made directly to the account opened in the Bosnia Bank International: 1415051310222757 for BAM currency or SWIFT: BBIBBA22XXX; IBAN:  BA391415051320052834 foreign currency account, on the same of Haris Duraković (humanitarian account for the Merdan family) or you can contact the school staff via email ekonomska_skola:mostar@hotmail.com or via phone 036-576-766 or 061-381-721.
