The International Microelectronics Olympiad was held in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, and students from Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Azra Elezovic, and Nikola Babic, took first and third place.
Students of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Banja Luka, Azra Elezovic and Nikola Babic won gold and bronze medals at the 18th International Microelectronics Olympiad.
This year the competition was held in Yerevan, Armenia.
For several years in a row, BiH students of Banja Luka Faculty of Electrical Engineering end up among the best in the world. The competition was founded by Synopsys, an American electronic design automation (EDA) company based in Sunnyvale, California, that focuses on silicon design and verification, silicon intellectual property, and software security and quality.
This is really a great success, both individually for the students and for the university, but also for BiH. It’s always nice to be an ambassador for our country when it comes to achievements like this.
Namely, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Banja Luka recorded significant results this year, so in May of this year, the students presented the first integrated chip, a semiconductor of technology, that represents the most sophisticated technological process, Klix.ba reports.
