Ammar Horozović and Ena Alivuk, two young students of Richmond Park College from Bihać, won the gold medal in the energy category at the 15th Bosepo Olympiad in Sarajevo. The expert jury highly rated their project, which is based on solar blinds that use solar energy to produce electricity.
“Work on the project lasted about two weeks, and it is planned to be made only after we make certain changes, because otherwise there is a great demand for it. I won gold in my first year at BOSEPO, and it was also my first project,” said Ammar Horozović.
He says that he will apply for BOSEPO next year as well, and hopes to achieve even greater success.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank my mentor and supporter on this project, Professor Belma Vatić, who put a lot of effort into working with us,” said Horozović, adding that this victory at the local competition is just the beginning, and that he plans to develop further professionally through such competitions.
Ammar and Ena will expand their project to use it in production, adding the necessary changes that achieve 100 percent efficiency. They also announce that with this project they intend to participate in the world competition in New York, where they will do their best to present BiH in the best light, Fena reports.
