In the Federation of BiH, 1,450 babies were born in October, and 1,635 residents died. This means that the natural increase is – 185, and the vital index is 89.
According to the latest data from the Federal Bureau of Statistics, in the same month of this year, 880 marriages were concluded, while 123 divorces were recorded.
Negative natural growth was recorded in eight cantons in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, except in Western Herzegovina and Sarajevo Canton.
In the ten months of 2023 (January-October), 15,835 babies were born in FBiH, and 19,943 people died.
