Students in Blockade announced today that seven students who blocked the Faculty of Law in Belgrade overnight were injured in an incident caused by unknown persons.
As stated in an Instagram post, the attackers threw glass and plastic bottles at the students.
“A female student was pushed down the stairs and fell on her head, and then, together with five other students of the Faculty of Law, she was transported by ambulance to the Emergency Center to be provided with first aid,” the students wrote.
They claim that unknown persons came to the faculty plateau by car after the incident and removed the evidence.
A video was also released showing the police detaining a man who the students claim attacked them.
“According to the information we currently have from witnesses, only one person out of the alleged six who participated in the attack on the students has been arrested,” the Students in Blockade profile on the social network X posted.
Student Veljko Ćirović told N1 that everything happened around two o’clock after midnight and that no one was seriously injured, while student Luka Davidović said that unknown persons approached the Faculty of Law on three occasions and attacked academics.
“The first time, unknown persons entered and said that they were for (Serbian President Aleksandar) Vučić (…) They wanted to urinate in the faculty building, where our guys urged them not to do so. They kicked them out the first time. In the second incident, there were more injured people, after which we managed to lock ourselves in the faculty building. The third time they came, they cursed and insulted us,” said Davidović.
