Success: Adna Borić – European Taekwondo Cadet Vice-Champion

adnaA young B&H taekwondo player, Adna Borić, won the silver medal at the European Taekwondo Cadet Championship in Strasbourg, France.

The member of Novi Grad Sarajevo Taekwondo Club beat all of her rivals in the qualifying matches in the category up to 59 kg, as well as the representative of Italy in the sixteenth round, the Croatian representative in the quarterfinals, and the Spanish competitor in the semi-finals match. She lost in the final match against the Russian representative, on the golden point in the fourth, additional round.

Five more athletes were representing B&H at the Championship, three of which were defeated in the battle for a medal and thus qualified in fifth place.

Sadmir Habibović (Novi Grad, Sarajevo), who defeated opponents from Ukraine and Russia in the category up to 41 kg, lost against the German representative in the battle for a medal.
