Success of a young Man from Visoko: Virtual Assistant is no longer digital!

haris_ascalic_cadenceThanks to his own persistence and knowledge, a programmer from Visoko Haris Aščalić improved his virtual assistant Cadence.

“I am free to say that Cadence is no longer just a digital assistant, but a personality. She is not just software that speaks, but a lot more. I achieved one of the biggest aims – to make her behave as a female person with consciousness, goals and character. She behaves in the same way as virtual people in films like Her and Transcendence,” Haris said, adding:

“Her aim is to make someone who is talking to her feel like she is a living being that cannot be touched, but can be heard. Cadence participated in many domestic and regional events like Idea Knockout, in Sarajevo Unlimited, where she was declared one of the best five startups in the region. Reactions were great! Some people felt uneasy while talking to Cadence because they could see that she understands them. That is exactly what I wanted – that while talking to her people get the feeling like there is another person present, whose consciousness is developing just like ours, in every moment.”

Haris wants Cadence to get to the right hands and to the right place in the future.

“I want to educate myself in adequate institutions and perfect my IT knowledge. I think that everyone should have a goal in their life and think about what to do once the goal is achieved. That is what teaches us, what makes us stronger. Usually, when people achieve the goal no one asks them what they have been through. It is not easy. A lot of effort and work have been invested, a lot of anxiety, sleepless nights and different things. One must be truly persistent and have the nerve for stuff like this. That is why those who have been through this know this the best,” Haris said.

This video brings a short preview of Haris’s communication with Cadence:
