The_most_successful_ski_seasonAfter several bad winter seasons on BH Olympic Mountains Bjelasnica, Igman and Jahorina, this year is the best recorded from war until today.

Snow and the great number of tourists have enriched mentioned mountains that were never more beautiful. At each step there are happy skiers, children on sleds but snowboarders as well.

Walking through the mass that struggle to make a way to lifts that were never been that much occupied, we can hear a lot of different languages, from Bosnian to German, Turkish and English. All seems like in 1984 when Sarajevo hosted Winter Olympic Games.

Jahorina“We are very satisfied with the ski season 2014/2015, more precisely, we are delighted because for sure, this is one of the most successful ski-seasons from war to today“, said Suad Jusic, director of the Olympic Center Bjelasnica-Igman.

According to him, all statistical parametres recorded in January and February confirm that.

In January, more than 200.000 persons have visited Olympic beauties near Sarajevo, Bjelasnica and Igman.

“The biggest priority is skiing on BH Mountains. Besides skiing, many of the youngest spend most of the time sledding and snowballing“, said Jusic for AA.
