Suljkanović on positive experiences of LAG Doboj

Vice President of RS Enes Suljkanović attended a meeting today on the topic of ” Positive experiences in the work of a Local action group of the region Doboj”, which covers the city of Doboj and the Municipality of Maglaj in the process of strengthening the community and quality of life.

This meeting was organized by  UNDPB&H. Representatives from the Municipality of Bratunac, Zvornik, Srebrenica, Vlasenica, Milići, UNDP, UNHCR, UNICEF, OSCE, SREU, Embassy of Holland and the representatives of the Local action group (LAG)  from Srbac, Laktaši, Gradiška, and Kozarska Dubica attended the meeting.

The aim of this meeting is to help form LAG in the Municipalities of Bratunac, Zvornik, Srebrenica and Milići and to recognize the advantages of the work of such an NGO in the areas of these local communities.

The executive director of LAG, Maja Mišić, the Mayor of Doboj Obren Petrović, the chief of the Municipality of Maglaj Mehmed Mustabašić and Vice President of RS Enes Suljkanović shared their experience on the topic of LAG’s function and contribution to local communities.

Special emphasis was put on the success of LAG Doboj, the city of Doboj and the Municipality of Maglaj  in implementing  projects worth more than 2.500.000 BAM. Suljkanović said that this type of collaboration between international donors and local communities is very successful and transparent.
