holidayAfter the bankruptcy procedure, Hotel Holiday will operate as a part of Europe Group.

More details will be known next week, said the general manager of the hotel.

The Austrian HETA issued a public call for the sale of this real estate in March 2016. According to the public call, the sale also includes the associated land around the object, respectively its parking lot behind and in front of the hotel.

The lowest price for sale amounted 28 million BAM.

The Holiday Hotel was closed in June 2015, and all the employees got fired. The Municipal Court in Sarajevo closed the hotel because of the suspicion that the administration of the Holiday Resort embezzled millions in taxes.

The hotel was built in 1983, just before the XVI Olympics that took place in Sarajevo, and it was working even during the war tragedy that affected BiH, serving as the headquarters of News Agencies.

The hotel proudly carries the metaphor of contemporary BiH history, because its existence actively testifies all the important events and milestones of BiH society.
