The nuclear rhetoric of European countries causes concern in Budapest, said the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary, Peter Szijarto.

He said at the International Economic Forum in St. Petersburg that Hungary does not approve of the initiative to send French military instructors to Ukraine.

According to him, Budapest welcomes the initiative of Brazil and China on Ukraine, as it relates to achieving peace, which is in Hungary’s interest, RIA Novosti reported.

Szijarto warned that allowing the Ukrainian army to attack Russia with Western weapons would lead to an escalation of the conflict and pose a direct threat to Hungary, TASS reported.

The head of Hungarian diplomacy repeated the call for an immediate truce and the start of peace talks, noting that Hungary has made it clear that it will not participate in NATO operations against Russia, nor will it participate in the delivery of weapons to Kiev or train the Ukrainian army, Srna writes.
