Nearly 3.5 kilometers long section of the Sarajevo Bypass at LOT 2A will soon be put into operations, and the media teams were first to test the future gate to the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Although the official deadline for completion of construction of this section of Sarajevo bypass is February 29, 2016, it is evident that the first part of the city highway will soon be put into operation, precisely by the end of November.
As the Public Enterprise Roads of FB&H confirmed, all that is still being waited for is the confirmation by the inspectors of the Novi Grad Sarajevo Municipality who should hand over the operational permit for the new road.
At the roundabout Briješće, as well as at the downward and upward ramp, final works are being executed, such as setting of the fence, and the future green belt and pathway are being arranged at the roundabout.
“Works will be completed soon, and the road which is to be put into operation soon includes the section from the Stup loop to the roundabout Briješće, a roundabout connected with the viaduct Briješće by inclusion and exit ramps and the route all the way to the Butila loop,” explained the project coordinator Mirsad Dizdarević.
The entrance and exit city jam issue should be resolved with the completion of construction of this road, together with the already constructed Stup loop.
The investor is PE Roads of FB&H, contractors are Euro-asfalt and ŽGP, and the total value of works amounts to 23,365,226 million BAM.
