Take a Look at the beautiful Footage of Stolac made with a Drone (Video)

stolac, BIHMany people have heard about the small city on the Bregava River, located in the south of BiH, but the lack of interest always kept them away from Stolac.

Stolac is called “the museum under the open sky” and the Youth Association of the Majlis of Islamic Community Stolac made sure to convince people about the accuracy of that title and evoke interest in visiting Stolac.

Throughout the last year, Youth Association of the Majlis of Islamic Community Stolac in cooperation with the Turkish Culture Center Yunus Emre has been implementing the project “Presenting the beauties of Stolac”. Within this project, they made a promo video with a drone, tourist brochures, and catalogs, aimed at presenting the rich cultural and historical heritage and natural beauties of Stolac in one place.

At project promotions in Stolac and Mostar, management of the Youth Association said:

“Stolac is a town where historical monuments date back to the Paleolithic era. That town is known for many prominent individuals, one of them being Mehmedalija Mak Dizdar. It has 35 national monuments and one of the biggest stećak necropolises in Europe, but it is also a town which is visited by the minimal number of tourists every year. Aware of all these problems, we felt the need to do something. We were looking for a solution how to attract tourists who regularly visit the neighboring places, which are not more beautiful than Stolac. We hope that this project will succeed and that our efforts will pay off, and that already next summer more tourists will come to Stolac, which definitely has what to offer.”

After the project promotion, a short lecture on the topic “Ottoman heritage in Stolac” was held by a young professor Irma Razić. The Youth Association claims that without the Turkish Culture Center Yunus Emre they would not succeed in their intention to promote Stolac as (un)discovered pearl.
