Teacher in BiH moved a Boy with Down Syndrome from the Stage during the Christmas Performance (video)

A video from Siroki Brijeg appeared on the Internet, showing a little boy with Down syndrome sitting in the hallway of the “Trznoruzica” kindergarten, while other children participating in the Christmas performance can be heard in the background.

“While the other children are singing on the stage, Jakov is on the bench dancing and waiting for the end of the performance. So, he practiced for this, for what reason he wasn’t allowed to go on stage, and why was he removed from it? When I asked the director why Jakov did not participate she said: ‘Ma’am, if you don’t like it here, there are 10 other kindergartens, feel free to go!’ We will go somewhere else, of course, but we will not be silent and sweep everything under the rug, no one deserves that, least of all a 5-year-old child,” wrote little Jakov’s mother with a sad video.

A video also appeared showing the kindergarten teacherdragging the boy off the stage.

Ana Marija from Siroki Brijeg, who has a girl with Down syndrome, also reacted to the shocking video, and her post was shared by hundreds.

Journalists tried to contact the Kindergarten “Trnoruzica” founded by the City of Siroki Brijeg, but until writing this text, no one replied, Klix.ba reports.
