Six people were rescued from under the ruins of a five-story building in Iskenderun, in the Turkish province of Hatay, even 102 hours after the devastating earthquakes that hit the south of Turkey on Monday, on the border with Syria, and a rescue team from Sarajevo participated in their rescue.

Numerous rescue teams continue to search and rescue in Hatay province. This morning, during the rescue operation, the rescuers heard voices from under the ruins of the building.

They received information that two families of a total of eight members remained under the ruins, and they immediately intensified their efforts to save people.

After enormous efforts, they managed to pull six people out of the ruins, including the married couple Jasemin and Kadir Oktay.

Members of the Novi Grad Mountain Rescue Service from Sarajevo also participated in the rescue operation. A total of 20 of them, headed by Fahrudin Dobrača, traveled to Turkey two days ago to help Turkish citizens affected by the earthquake.

Yesterday, the same team rescued a 70-year-old man from under the ruins in Hatay, together with rescuers from the Turkish IHH.

The rescued persons were transported to the hospital due to the injuries they sustained in the earthquake. Those gathered celebrated the rescue of people with great enthusiasm.

There are more people under the ruins of the same building, which is why the rescue teams are continuing the rescue operation.

Istanbul Mayor Ekrem Imamoglu said on his Twitter Profile that a new miraculous salvation after 133 hours happened when a 19-year-old Oğuzhan was saved from the rubble alive by team from Bosnia.
