Tegeltija meets with Austrian Federal Minister for European and International Affairs

Chairman of the BiH Council of Ministers Zoran Tegeltija talked today in Sarajevo with Austrian Federal Minister for European and International Affairs Alexander Schallenberg about current topics, combating the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic crisis, as well as the European integration process and further improvement bilateral cooperation.
 
Tegeltija thanked for the support of the Republic of Austria in the context of BiH’s European integration and stressed the Council of Ministers’ commitment to further reforms in the EU accession process, with full respect for the constitutional competencies of all levels of government in BiH, the Dayton Peace Agreement and consistent coordination mechanism.
 
Tegeltija thanked the Government of Austria and Minister Schallenberg for their support and assistance in the process of providing vaccines through the European Union mechanism, which should be delivered to BiH in the period from May to August.
 
He also expressed gratitude to Austria for its help during the migrant crisis in BiH, and said that the issue of migrants exceeds the capacity in BiH. He added that BiH cannot deal with this humanitarian, security and health problem alone.
 
According to him, the Republic of Austria is one of the most important investors in BiH and a significant foreign trade partner, which is of great importance for the BiH economy, the Council of Ministers of BiH stated in the press release.
