Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Zoran Tegeltija talked today with Head of the EU Delegation to BiH Johann Sattler about current political and economic issues in BiH and the region, with an emphasis on overcoming the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic.

Tegeltija expressed gratitude to the European Union for the assistance in the procurement of medical equipment to health institutions in BiH, as well as for the engagement and support of the economy that was extremely affected by this crisis.

During the conversation, Chairman Tegeltija informed Ambassador Sattler that the Council of Ministers, despite the challenges it faces, is working on the implementation of the agreed measures, and stressed that European integration remains the focus of the work of the Council of Ministers.

The interlocutors also exchanged views on other current topics in the context of overcoming the problem of illegal migration.

Tegeltija reiterated that the migrant crisis is a major security and humanitarian problem that BiH cannot solve on its own, and reiterated the importance of coordination and joint cooperation of all security agencies in the region.
