A real festive atmosphere could be felt in the capital of Bosnia-Herzegovina today as Sarajevo is a major destination for many tourists from countries in the region, but also distant ones such as China, and Japan. Popular singer Zeljko Joksimovic has attracted a large number of young people from across BiH and the region, and everyone is hoping that tonight, as is usual at his concerts, will be spectacular.

“We are here with friends and I love coming to Sarajevo, because it is wonderful. It is my husband’s first time and we decided to celebrate the New Year here and we will be at a concert,” one tourist from Slovenia explained to Klix.ba news portal. Most tourists explained that they will welcome the New Year with a concert and then continue the celebration in a restaurant or home.

“We come from Osijek and we are in Sarajevo for the first time. I came here for the New Year because they made me laugh (laughs). It’s a little cold, but not bad, “a Croatian citizen told Klix.ba news portal. A citizen from Arandjelovac who arrived with his wife returned to Sarajevo after 30 years. He will spend New Year’s Day in Sarajevo and on Jahorina Mountain. “We came here to see the sights and what Sarajevo looks like in 2020. We feel good,” Serbian citizen said.

The central event today is a concert by Zeljko Joksimovic at the BiH Square in Sarajevo. The party starts at 8:30 pm when young Ilma Karahmet will sing until 10:30 pm, when the star of the evening comes – Zeljko Joksimovic, who will continue to sing until midnight. At midnight, fireworks will be fired.
