Following a request by the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina on Monday in Sarajevo to close all border crossings where quarantines have not been established and requested a 24-hour deadline, Avaz.ba news portal contacted Fahrudin Solak, Chief of the Federal Civil Protection Headquarters.

According to him, the Federal Civil Protection Headquarters immediately adopted the order at the session today to start quarantining at 14 border crossings.

“We’re leaving for the crossings on Tuesday morning. We are going to deploy all the people and focus on these big border crossings and I think we can try to finish it in one day. These are 14 border crossings. First, we will set up the tents and then we will see further,” says Solak.

According to the Federal Civil Protection Administration, Izacic and Bijaca already have two pieces of equipment of the Armed Forces at two border crossings. “Then we go immediately to Samac, Orasje, Kladusa, Kamensko, Osoje, Doljani, Neum 1, Neum 2. The border police will then move on. Where there are no quarantines, there are no passes,” Solak says.
