Soon, the citizens of the Arabian Gulf countries will have water from “Tešanjska vrela” available to them, because 150.000 bottles under the name “Natural Spring Water Diamond” has already been shipped. This is big news for producers of water from Tešanj.
The Director of this company Ibro Omerbašić said to portal ekapija.com that preparations for export of water to Kuwait lasted several years. A new bottle design was made with the use of ‘shrink sleeve’ labels. These are the most luxurious labels on the market, which was a request from Kuwait.
“After the bottles arrive in Kuwait, it will be followed by a period in which we see a dynamic sale on that market, and we could plan the next steps’’, said Omerbašić.
He added that with the company from Kuwait they are negotiating new details. The plan is for local customers to send up to two million bottles. Kuwaitis are interested not only to buy water, but also for other investments.
In addition to the supplied products to Arab countries, there is also a plan to export to the US, where preparations such as the ones for Kuwait are underway.
“Whether this will be realized, we do not know yet, but it is currently going in that direction’’, said Omerbašić.
In the US, the quality of “Tešanjska vrela’ water has been confirmed. “Esperanza’’ in at 22nd place at the international fair of water in Berkeley Springs that was held from 23-25 February 2013, and for the second time was named the best water in the world in 2012, and was given the gold medal for quality. In the same competition, “Perrier” took third place.
At the beginning of the summer, the distribution for ‘’Esperanza’’ began for the BiH market, which until now was only packaged for well-known buyers outside BiH.
Tešanj has long been known for its quality of water whose source is its spring.
Omerbašić spoke of the problems with the relevant institutions. The criteria of the EU in terms of water production are met here, but institutions did not come into contact with agencies in European countries, and it happens that every company separately meets the procedures for certain countries abroad. This further complicates and prolongs the operating procedures.
This company began production of water 13 years ago and since 2000, is engaged in the bottling and transport of water under the name “Tešanjski dijamant”. After this brand, the mineral water brand “Esperanza’’ was placed on the market, followed by juices “Fruktix” and carbonated drinks “Happy”.
