The second SOS Design Festival in Sarajevo has ended with final presentations after several days of workshops with top instructors and lecturers. In the past five days under the motto learn, work, have fun, students from B&H and the region have listened to the lectures of guests from Croatia , Serbia, Slovenia, Germany, Turkey and the United States. Also, they have presented their art works at the PechaKucha evenings. Festival opened with the exhibition of posters in collaboration with the School of Visual Arts in New York, while the Studio Armada presented the exhibition Yugoslav standards.
Students have had the opportunity to refine illustration techniques with the guest from New York, Yuko Shimizu, while others got to know the skills of branding under the mentor-ship of the Slovenian duo from Studio Armada, Darko and Marko Miladinović. Participants of the workshop, through the workshop of Zoran Jedrejčić gave their suggestions for new product developments of globally recognized B&H Company Artisan that produces superior furniture.
In addition to these guests, a special place had the director of the Gallery of the School of Visual Arts New York, Francis Di Tomasso who gave two lectures and a lot of appreciations for the organization, idea and spirit of the management team, as well as for the participants of the festival.
