The conference dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the signing of the Dayton Peace Agreement, organized in parallel with the session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, in Dayton, USA, will be attended today by members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Chairperson of the Presidency of BiH Željka Cvijanović arrived in Dayton on Thursday, as did the member of the Presidency Željko Komšić, and the arrival of the member of the Presidency Denis Bećirović is expected, who was in Washington on Thursday where he met with US Senators Jeanne Shaheen and Chris Van Hollen, members of the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and Thom Tillis, member of the US Senate Veterans Affairs Committee.

Meetings of BiH officials with Christopher Landau, US Deputy Secretary of State, and with other officials who will attend the Dayton commemoration are planned for today.

He expects the meeting with Landau to lead to an open dialogue on key issues for the future of Bosnia and Herzegovina, including the continuation of reform processes, preserving peace and stability, and strengthening the partnership with the United States.

The thirtieth anniversary of the Dayton Peace Agreement will also be marked by a series of cultural events, including exhibitions and concerts, as well as thematic panels.

The NATO Parliamentary Assembly, a transatlantic forum that brings together some three hundred representatives from 32 member states of the Alliance, is in session in Dayton from May 23 to 26.

This is the first time since 2003 that the NATO Parliamentary Assembly has been held in the United States, AA writes.
