The 30th Sarajevo Film Festival ended with the Award Ceremony

The 30th edition of the Sarajevo Film Festival (SFF) ended on Friday night at the Sarajevo National Theater with the “Heart of Sarajevo” award ceremony, and the film “Three Kilometers to the End of the World” directed by Emanuel Parvu was declared the best feature film.

The best director of the 30th edition of SFF is Yorgos Zois with the film “Arcadia”.

Doru Bem was declared the best actor for her role in the film “Great Week”, and Anab Ahmed Ibrahim won the “Heart of Sarajevo” as the best actress for her role in the film “Village next to Paradise”.

Olga Chernykh’s “Picture to Remember” won the “Heart of Sarajevo” for the best documentary film, and the human rights prize was awarded to Anna Rubia for the film “Your Life Without Me”.

The special prize of the jury was awarded to the film “What we demand from the statue is that it does not move” directed by Daphne Heretakis.

The award for the best documentary film in the competition program was won by the film “Kao bolesna žuta” directed by Norika Sefa. Turkish director Cem Demirer with the film “Absent” won “Srce Sarajevo” for the best short film.

The best short film of the 30th SFF competition program is “Tako Tsubo” directed by Fanny Sorgo and Eva Pedroza, and “Heart of Sarajevo” for the best student film went to “The Smell of Fresh Paint” directed by Nađa Petrović.

The special award for promoting gender equality went to the documentary film “Cent’anni” directed by Maja Doroteja Prelog. A special award for environmental awareness went to the film “The Sky Above Zenica” directed by Zlatko Pranjić and Nanna Frank Moller.

– More than 240 movies –

A total of 54 films from four competition categories competed for the “Heart of Sarajevo” awards, and three more films were screened out of competition. This year’s Sarajevo Film Festival brought more than 240 films from 70 countries in more than 20 program selections.

– Numerous celebrities –

Tonight, numerous celebrities from Bosnia and Herzegovina and other countries walked the red carpet. The red carpet of the last evening of the SFF was walked by the film crews of the competitive program, the jury of the competitive, feature and documentary programs and many others.

The star of this year’s SFF was the famous Hollywood actress Meg Ryan, who was awarded the “Honorary Heart of Sarajevo” and the American director and actor John Turturro, who was also awarded the “Honorary Heart of Sarajevo”, AA writes.
