The Prime Minister of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton Nevenko Herceg solemnly opened the sale and exhibition of agricultural goods – the 5th International Mediterranean Days in Neum.

Congratulating the organizer, the leading people of the Municipality who once again proved that they tirelessly contribute to the development of the economy, hospitality and tourism in HNK, he said that the Mediterranean Days are an extremely valuable event both for the canton and for the entire Herzegovinian climate.

“Here the door is opened for domestic farmers and businessmen to promote their products, and also to contribute to the development of our tourism, Neum Municipality and the Neum hinterland,” said Herceg.

He reminded that the Government of HNK recognizes and unselfishly supports such ideas and projects from the beginning.

“We have shown and proved countless times that we are the Government of the entire canton, of all our cities and municipalities. We continuously allocate financial resources to support restaurateurs, tourism workers, farmers and businessmen of all branches. We support the activity of economic manifestations, fairs and promotional gatherings, all with the aim of promoting the fruits of our man’s work, which is the main driver of change, success and progress in this area of our life,” asserted the Prime Minister of HNK, adding that “only through the synergy of all levels of government and responsibility of all stakeholders in tourism, hospitality, agriculture and economy, we can build and build quality products and achieve sustainability in all areas”.

It is a two-day event of agricultural goods, which is held for the fifth time in Neum, and whose goal is to enable local farmers to promote their products and thus contribute to and enrich the tourist offer, as well as encourage the development of agriculture in the hinterland of Neum.

Agricultural Mediterranean crops such as figs, grapes, olives, rosehips, as well as their products, several types of wine, brandy, prosciutto, cheese and honey, as well as medicinal herbs and handicrafts, are on display.
