The 61st edition of the Ilidža Folk Music Festival, the oldest and most important festival of this genre in the region, begins tonight at the Ilidža Summer Stage. The main media sponsor of the Festival is BHRT, and it is being implemented in cooperation with the Ilidža Municipality. The first night of the festival is traditionally competitive, while the second, on August 26, will be of a revue nature, with performances by big names in folk music.
A total of 80 applications were received for this year’s Competition for New Compositions, and the expert selection committee has chosen 15 compositions to be performed on the Competition Night.

The revue evening will be in the spirit and tradition of the Ilidža Festival, with great hits by famous performers folk music. Ana Bekuta, Muharem Serbezovski, Nihad Alibegović, Ferid Avdić, Hanka Paldum, Nedeljko Bilkić, Enes Begović, Semir Cerić Koke, Rizo Hamidović and Slađana Mandić are some of the famous musical names who will perform on Tuesday at the review evening of the Ilidža Folk Music Festival 2025.
