The Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina sent the BiH Council of Ministers the composition of the negotiating team and the basis for conducting negotiations for signing an agreement with the European Border and Coast Guard Agency (FRONTEX).
The Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nenad Nešić, who is attending the General Assembly of INTERPOL in Vienna, pointed out that this is an important step for BiH in approaching the European Union and establishing cooperation with European security agencies.
After the completion of the internal procedure in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the negotiations with FRONTEX, Bosnia and Herzegovina will also become a part of common European border security in this area.
”It is very important that we reach this agreement as soon as possible, which will help in more effective control of our border and further bring us closer to the European Union. This shows that BiH and both its entities can be part of a common European future. I am particularly pleased that such an approach is recognized as good,” said Nešić, the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced.
