Prime Minister of Tuzla Canton Irfan Halilagić today received a delegation from the Embassy of Great Britain in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

At a working meeting with the Director General for Europe at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Great Britain, Peter Peter Wilson, and the Ambassador of Great Britain to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Julian Reilly, the Prime Minister presented the situation in the Tuzla Canton, the working principles of the Government of the Tuzla Canton, and pointed to the most significant projects that have been implemented in the past period, as well as projects that are in the implementation phase or are planned for the future short-term period, Fena reports.

He stated that the Government continued this mandate on the same course that they set during the last year of the previous four-year mandate, which is the principle of transparency and measurability, i.e. set measures, defined execution deadlines and reporting to the public about implemented measures.

“In addition, special attention is devoted to the fight against corruption, which is most clearly illustrated by the support to the Office for the fight against corruption and quality management, and the publication of the property register of elected officials in our canton,” said Halilagić, stressing that unfortunately some tragic and unfortunate events disrupted the positive dynamics of work of the Government of Tuzla Canton.

He also presented the priorities in the work of the Government for 2023, and singled out the preparation of project documentation for the construction and reconstruction of infrastructural facilities such as the construction of the Campus, the renovation of the Government building and the construction of police departments and courts, and as a focal point he emphasized the modernization of road infrastructure and better connections with Sarajevo as the capital, but also with Orašje and Brcko guards, that is, the European Union.

The guests from Great Britain expressed satisfaction with today’s presentation and conversation with the Prime Minister, and praised the planned efforts and vision of the Government of Tuzla Canton, and Wilson pointed out that it is very positive to see a young man in such a responsible position, with a sincere desire to improve the lives of all citizens of Tuzla Canton , it was announced from the Government of TC.
