Ivan Todorov is the new ambassador of Serbia in Bosnia and Herzegovina, announced the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia.
With today’s publication of the decree of the President of Serbia, the procedure of appointing four new ambassadors of Serbia has been completed, including Todorov, who until now was the ambassador to Hungary.
The announcement stated that Todorov is a former professional athlete, multiple champion of the SFRY and the Balkans in judo, winner of the Mediterranean and European medals and participant of the Olympic Games in Seoul in 1988. He graduated from the Faculty of Physical Culture, University of Belgrade, and received his doctorate from the Faculty of Sports and Physical Education, University of Niš.
Todorov was the general secretary and president of the Board of Directors of the “Crvena zvezda” Sports Society, and held, among other positions, the functions of president of the Balkan Judo Federation and vice president of the Olympic Committee of Serbia.
He is the President of the Advisory Board of the President of the European Judo Federation and the Director of Development of the World Judo Federation.
He worked in the Security and Information Agency, and from 2018 to 2023 he served as the ambassador of Serbia to Hungary, Srna reports.
