The 23rd anniversary of the tribulation of 69 Serbian civilians and soldiers on the Feast of St. Peter and St. Paul in 1992 was marked on Sunday in the villages Zalazje, Sase, Biljača and Zagoni, in the surroundings of Srebrenica and Bratunac.
Besides 69 murdered, 22 Serbians went missing that day, 10 of which were accidentally exhumed four years ago from the mass grave in Zalazje during the search for the Bosniak victims.
Radojka Filipović, the president of the Organization of the families of captured and fallen soldiers and the missing civilians of the Bratunac Municipality strives to get this case processed and the responsible ones punished.
‘’I am afraid for this case. I am afraid because I got a promise of High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council that the case of Naser Orić and others will be processed by the end of last year.
That did not happen. However, when I see all this today it gives me strength to persevere with the families in the quest for justice. The justice must come, because there is so much pain and so many victims here.
There were lot of killed here in every possible way. The truth is known to the powerful ones and the dividers of justice. We are patient, because we know that the justice will come’’.
