After the most superior month in Islam, the Ramadan, started, the first Tarawih prayer was prayed after the Isha prayer last night, in mosques across Zenica.

The believers of Zenica last night filled the mosques in the city to capacity, and in spite of the low temperatures, wind and rain, the Tarawih prayer was prayed outdoors as well. The Tarawih prayer will be prayed at 117 places in total within the Majlis of the Islamic Community (MIZ) Zenica, in 13 mosques within the city, the Pennentiary-Correctional Institution (three Tarawih prayers), and the Nakšibendijska tekke in Pehare.

Within the Ramadan activities, the first muqabalas were prayed yesterday in Čaršijska mosque in Zenica, where the muqabala was prayed by 12 Hafizes, while the muqabala for women which was prayed by six Hafizes was organized in the Potočka mosque after the Dhur prayer.

In addition to the mentioned mosques, the muqabala will be prayed in 12 more jamaats of te MIZ Zenica. The lectures on specific topics will be held in all jamaats five minutes prior to the Tarawih prayer. The central event for the 17th night of Ramadan Laylat al-Badr will be held in the Čaršijska mosque, while the central ceremony for the 27th night Laylat al-Qadr will be held in the Ensar mosque.
