Minaret (tower) of Ferhad-bey’s mosque was damaged early this morning due to strong winds, which caused great material damage during the night in this part of BiH.

This happened after midnight, and as said from the Operational Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Zenica-Doboj Canton, no one was injured.

“We received a report at 1 AM that there was a fall of the minaret on the Ferhad-bey’s mosque in the Enesa Galijasevica Street in Tesanj. The object suffered a great material damage, but fortunately, no one was injured. The investigation is currently taking place,” they noted.

This mosque in Tesanj is a national monument of BiH, and it was built in the middle of the 16th century.
