Industrial production in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) dropped in October by as much as 10.4 percent compared to the same month last year, which is the biggest drop in recent years.

This data is a matter of great concern, especially because it is a tendency that is getting worse.

The drop in production has been marked throughout the year, but each month that drop was increasing.

For example, in July the drop was 4.7 percent (compared to the same month last year), in August 5.9 percent, in September 7.4 percent, and in October, as previously mentioned, it increased to 10.4 percent.

Overall, in the first ten months of this year, industrial production in BiH was lower by 5.6 percent compared to the ten months of 2018.

When it comes to percentages, the largest decline in ten months was recorded in the coke and refined petroleum products industry (70.4 percent), in the textile industry (40.7 percent) and the production of tobacco products (28.3 percent), according to the Agency for Statistics of BiH, biznisinfo.ba portal reports.
