The Citizens of Belgrade are invited to take to the Street en masse again Tonight

The representative of the “Ne damo Jadar” organization, Zlatko Kokanović, confirmed today that after last night’s protest in Belgrade, three activists were sentenced to 40 and 30 days in prison for disturbing public order and peace, and called on citizens to gather en masse in Nemanjina street in front of the building tonight at 6 p.m. Government of Serbia.

“Folks, at 18:00 at the crossroads near the Government of Serbia, we must gather in as many numbers as possible. This is North Korea,” said Kokanovic.

He assessed that the verdict against the activists was political.

“This is clearly not a judge’s verdict, someone from above issued a verdict, and they are just figures who carry out other people’s orders,” Kokanović told FoNet.

Actress Jelena Stupljanin called on citizens to “go outside”.

Ljiljana Bralović, activist of the Alliance of Environmental Organizations of Serbia (SEOS), said that “it is important to support children, because they could have been anyone’s children.”

A new protest should follow at 6 p.m.
