The City of Sarajevo and technical organizers are finalizing preparations for the Public New Year’s Eve Celebration for 2025. It is planned for all entrances to open on December 30th at 7:30 p.m.and on December 31st at 7:15 p.m. Minor deviations in the planned schedule may occur due to objective reasons, according to the City Administration.
The organizers have secured access points at the location near the Eternal Flame, along Marsala Tita Street to Radiceva Street, from five directions: Marsala Tita Street for guests and the audience coming from the direction of the “Aria” shopping center (the intersection of Marsala Tita and Radiceva streets), and from Pruscakova, Senoina, Kulovica, and Dalmatinska streets.
Security checks are scheduled to take place on both days from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. During this time, Titova Street will be completely closed to vehicles and pedestrians from the Eternal Flame to the junction with Radiceva Street. Citizens are requested to use alternative routes as directed by official personnel, the organizers stated.
For the first time, the organizers have provided a designated area for individuals with disabilities, accessible via Mula Mustafe Baseskije Street – Marsala Tita Street.
On December 30th, four emergency medical teams will be available, and on December 31st, five teams will be on standby.
A sufficient number of mobile toilets will be provided for visitors, clearly marked for ease of use.
Additionally, free public transportation within the city will be available before and after the Public New Year’s Eve Celebration (on December 30th and 31st, 2024). Citizens are encouraged to take advantage of this service to reduce traffic congestion in the city.
Bringing alcoholic beverages, pyrotechnics, glass bottles, cans, and other prohibited items to the event location is strictly forbidden. The organizers will not be held responsible for items that are not permitted at the event.
The use of drones without approval from the Canton Sarajevo (CS)Ministry of Internal Affairs is strictly prohibited, according to the City Administration’s announcement.
