tuzlaToday, in the premises of the Tuzla City Administration, employers who used funds from the active employment policy programs in the field of entrepreneurship in the city of Tuzla for 2015 signed contracts.

The contracts were signed by 18 business entities who were given the financial support of 80,000 BAM from the budget of the city of Tuzla that aims to employ 40 workers in manufacturing and production services in 2015.

“In the competition announced by the competent services, these 18 companies had the best conditions, so we have permitted the employment of 40 young people in the production services. These are serious companies that will not give up their employees, and these companies in total have around 500 employees. Some of the companies employed one, some of them two, while others employed five new employees. Thanks to this synergy of companies from Tuzla and us, many workers gained an opportunity for employment and they should use it”, as the mayor of Tuzla, Jasmin Imamović, said.

He added that this was one of the ways to support an economic sector, which was in harmony with the City development strategic plans defined in the document “The Strategy of the Development of the City of Tuzla to 2026”, and it has an aim to provide long-term support in the field of the entrepreneurship, which supports the creation of new job opportunities and employee training in order to strengthen their competitiveness on the labour market.

“It is about employing people from the unemployment list in the city of Tuzla in order to prevent long-term unemployment. In our program, we decided that the amount of the funds per employee is 2,000 BAM and we are already planning the funds, at least the same amount, for the next year budget”, as Imamović said.

In doing this, the city of Tuzla continues to work on the improvement of quality of business surroundings for the business entities who increase the number of their employees in their manufacturing activities and service, as the city of Tuzla said.
