As announced, the Constitutional Law Commission and the Finance and Budget Commission considered today amendments to the Law on Excise Taxes, which would temporarily suspend excise taxes on fuel, which would also mean lower fuel prices.

The Constitutional Law Commission and the Finance and Budget Commission of the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliament, after the amendments to the Act on Excise Taxes were adopted by the House of Representatives in early March, today supported the text of the law abolishing excise taxes on oil derivatives.

Delegates Denis Becirovic, Amir Fazlic and Dusanka Majkic voted in favor, while Marina Pendes and Lidija Bradara, HDZ BiH delegates, abstained. None of the delegates voted against.

With the proposed amendments to the law, excise taxes on petroleum products would amount to 0 BAM, and this measure to protect the population affected by inflationary movements would be applied for six months.

Now the House of People’s Party of Bosnia and Herzegovina is on the move, which would directly lower fuel prices in Bosnia and Herzegovina by 0.35 BAM by adopting the amendments to the Excise Law, Klix.ba writes.
