President of Republika Srpska (RS) Milorad Dodik responded to the leader of People and Justice (Narod i Pravda) Elmedin Konakovic‘s statement that during the rally “Srpska zove” the world saw the inhuman performances of “those whom we, unfortunately, call our neighbors”.
Dodik wondered what was inhuman about it.
“That we talked about the crimes committed against the Serbian people in Srebrenica by the people to which Elmedin Konakovicbelongs?”, asked Dodik.
“No one last night, nor at any other time, denied something that did not happen, because what did not happen cannot be denied. Last night, for the umpteenth time, we said that a great crime had happened in Srebrenica, and all the people on Krajina Square paid their respects to all the victims, and expressed our condolences to their families. Is that inhumane, Mr. Konakovic!? We never experienced that from you in Sarajevo, you are the ones who deny Serbian victims and make heroes out of criminals,” said Dodik yesterday.
He said that if Muslims can and want to ignore the Serbian victims, to easily erase them with an eraser, he cannot do that, nor does he have the right to do such a thing.
“Neither as a man, nor as a Serb, nor as the president of the RS, I will, cannot and must not forget the sacrifice of my ancestors for the sake of the future of my and our descendants and for the sake of the RS, and I leave it to you in Sarajevo to work according to your conscience,” he said.
Konakovic‘s statement that “unfortunately, he calls us his neighbors and that, unfortunately, he shares the political reality with us” speaks volumes about what the world saw last night, Dodik said yesterday.
“With that, Elmedin Konakovic said everything, and too much. He was open and told us directly that he was sorry that we, the Serbs, were their neighbors. That is the essence of everything – Elmedin Konnakovic and others like him in Sarajevo would like us to be gone and that the whole of Bosnia and Herzegovina(BiH) is unitary, Muslim, and that few Serbs would be left to become third- and fourth-class citizens, as they are now in Sarajevo. That’s the difference between you and us, Dino Konakovic. We want a Dayton BiH, that we live next to each other in two entities, respecting the Dayton arrangement of BiH, and you want BiH to be Muslim, neither Serbian, nor Croatian, and that instead of domestic politicians, the fate of this nation is determined by foreigners. We will never allow that, because RS is eternal, as is the Serbian people,” said Dodik’s, Klix.ba reports.
