The Council of Ministers of BiH will hold an extraordinary Session Today

The Council of Ministers of BiH will hold an extraordinary telephone session today, and the Draft Law on the Prevention of Conflict of Interest will be considered.

This law is one of the conditions for the opening of negotiations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the EU, as European officials have repeatedly emphasized during diplomatic visits, which have become more frequent in recent years.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Elmedin Konaković, said in the previous days, after meetings with European officials, that negotiations were ongoing, but there was no final outcome.

“We started yesterday, today we are intensively negotiating the details of the conflict of interest law and everything we have done since the decision on the conditional green light from December shows our readiness and commitment to continue the European path faster than we have ever traveled before. The talks he insisted on they pay off for a long time and bring, first of all, benefits and benefits to the citizens, but maybe not to the politicians, which is why there are daily fights that cause people to leave Bosnia and Herzegovina,” Konaković said yesterday after a meeting with German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock.

In order for the law to enter into force, it must first be adopted by the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and then voted on by the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
