The Court of B&H acquitted Ilija Juric of charges for crimes committed against civilian population in the area of Odzak in 1992.
According to the trial chamber, there is no evidence that Juric is responsible for the sexual and physical abuse as a former member of the Croatian Defense Council.
“The chamber does not question that Milica Djekic survived serious abuse, but could not conclude that the act was committed by Juric,” said Presiding judge Davorin Jukic.
The verdict can be appealed.
