The Day Of The Coronation Of King Tvrtko I Kotromanic Marked

The three-hour entertainment-educational program on the occasion of marking the Day of the coronation of King Tvrtko I Kotromanic and the Day of remembrance of medieval Bosnia gathered yesterday, organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Tuzla Canton (TC), hundreds of primary and secondary school students in the University Hall in Tuzla.

According to the words of the Minister of Education and Science Ahmed Omerovic, the point of yesterday’s manifestation, besides learning about medieval Bosnia and the kingdom, is also to raise among students the self-confidence and awareness about the statehood of the medieval Bosnian state which is the foundation of contemporary Bosnian and Herzegovinian (BiH) statehood, it was announced, among other things, by the relevant ministry.

It was an opportunity that also this year the imagination of the young comes to the forefront, who through the “royal performance”, quiz, exhibitions of art sections, exhibition of manuscripts and illuminations, stecak tombstones and symbols, workshop of writing bosancica, exhibition of medieval letters, workshop of medieval makeup and hairstyles, simulation of knight games and sword fighting, ring game, race with shields, and musical performance, showed the desire for preservation of heritage.

The University in Tuzla also participated in the organization, as well as the Public Institution Institute for the Protection and Use of Cultural-Historical Heritage of the TC, by setting up an exhibition of medieval fortresses, with a special focus on the restoration of the medieval fortification in Teocak.

The entertainment-educational performance was concluded by the awarding of medals and winning trophies.
