The driver of the military vehicle that was involved in a serious traffic accident in Serbia near Kraljevo yesterday, in which a family of five died, was under the influence of alcohol, Danas has learned unofficially.

The driver of the Serbian Armed Forces, who was driving an armored vehicle, had a little more than 0.2 parts per thousand of alcohol in his body, unofficially learns Danas.

He was arrested yesterday and detained for up to 48 hours, after which he will be questioned at the High Public Prosecutor’s Office in Kraljevo.

Five people were killed and one person was seriously injured in the traffic accident that happened yesterday around 1:10 pm on the Kraljevo-Raška road.

During the implementation of regular tasks, the combat vehicle of the Serbian Army “PASARS” collided with a passenger vehicle near the town of Ušće on the Kraljevo-Raška road today at around 1:10 p.m., according to the Ministry’s announcement.

The combat vehicle of the Serbian Army was moving in the direction of Raška and was in a column under the escort of the military police.

Competent authorities arrived at the scene and will determine all the circumstances of the traffic accident, the Ministry stated.

The media report that the entire family from Raška, who were in a passenger vehicle, died in the accident, and that there were three children among them.

It is assumed that the passenger vehicle flew under the military combat vehicle, which was moving in the escort.
