The Embassy of BiH received Requests of BiH Citizens for Evacuation from Gaza

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced that so far 23 citizens have contacted the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Cairo with a request for evacuation.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH, more precisely the Embassy of BiH in Cairo, has received 23 requests for evacuation so far, of citizens and their family members. All persons seeking evacuation are currently in the Gaza Strip.

Ambassadors and employees of the embassies in Cairo and Tel Aviv are in constant contact with the competent institutions of Egypt and Israel and regularly report on all changes on the ground to the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH and embassies submitted lists of BiH citizens and their families to the competent authorities of Egypt and Israel, and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) as well as the EU mechanism for civil protection in order to ensure evacuation.

We inform the public that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina has formed a crisis headquarters at the headquarters that coordinates the evacuation activities of our citizens and monitors the development of the situation in the Middle East. The crisis headquarters will be in operation until further notice.

For all citizens in need, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina provides a contact phone number 033/281-234 (available 24/7).

It is also possible to contact the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina via the e-mail address: emergency@mvp.gov.ba.

In order to find a way to provide support, it is necessary to submit: name and surname, date of birth, BiH travel document number, ID number in Palestine (if the person has one), residence address in BiH, place of residence in Palestine (if the person has one).
