“At the ministerial meeting held two years ago, the Energy community adopted the so-called “PECI list“ or the list of priority projects in the energy sector. The aim of that list is to identify project which will have a priority when it comes to funding. On that list, there was six projects in whose construction B&H, in the cooperation with neighboring countries, would be included.

Thus, from the field of the electrify production, on “PECI list“ there were projects of the construction of the Hydro Power Plant Dubrovnik and Srednja Drina, from the field of energy infrastructure there is a regional project of the construction of 400kV of the transmission line between B&H, Montenegro and Serbia as well as the construction of 400 kV transmission line between Banja Luka in B&H and Lika in Croatia.

From the field of the gas infrastructure, on “PECI list“ are also two projects in which B&H would be included and those are the interconnection gas pipeline Slobodnica-Bosanski Brod-Zenica, interconnection gas pipeline Ploce-Mostar-Sarajevo/Zagvozd-Posusje/Travnik, as well as the interconnection gas pipeline Licka Jasenica-Trzac-Bosanska Krupa.

After the ministerial meeting of the Energy community which was held at the beginning of July this year, at which the Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of B&H, Mirko Sarovic, participated as well, five projects which are considered to be ready for the beginning of the realization in 2015/2016 were marked, and will be funded through the Investment frame for the Western Balkan-IPA 2015. On the short list, as confirmed from the Council of Ministers of B&H, there is a project of the construction of the transmission interconnection between B&H, Montenegro and Serbia, worth around 66 million EUR.

B&H is the only country in the region to export the electricity-in the first five months of 2015, value of the export was 149.8 million BAM.
