How much Workers in BiH earn in different Professions?

The average monthly net salary in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) in February this year was 1.211 BAM. This shows a nominal growth of 0.2 percent, while in real terms it is lower by 0.2 percent compared to January 2023.

Compared to the same month last year, the average net salary in February 2023 was nominally higher by 14.4 percent. During the same period, the real index was 1.3 percent.

According to the data of the Agency for Statistics of BIh, the average net salary in February 2022 was 1.059 BAM.

The lowest average net salary in February of this year was paid in the sector of providing accommodation and preparing and serving food, and it amounted to 730 BAM.

Low average wages were also paid in construction – 813 BAM, in wholesale and retail trade – 866, and in the processing industry – 883 BAM.

The highest average salary was in the financial and insurance industry – 1.678 BAM.

This is followed by salaries in electricity production and supply – 1.634, in information and communications – 1.605, in public administration and defense, and compulsory social security – 1.484.

The average monthly gross salary in BiH in February 2023 was 1.863 BAM.
