The Exhumation at the Buk Bijela site was completed

The exhumation at the Buk Bijela site was completed after the remains were found, which were determined to be of animal origin, Emza Fazlić, Spokeswoman for the Missing Persons Institute of Bosnia and Herzegovina, told FENA.

This was confirmed by the expert team for exhumations, which is on the ground at that locality.

“That these are remains of animal origin was also confirmed by the pathologist who is in the field at that locality,” said Fazlić.

An exhumation was carried out today at the Buk Bijela site, by order of the BiH Prosecutor’s Office, in search of the remains of the victims of the past war.

The Missing Persons Institute of Bosnia and Herzegovina submitted a request for the exhumation to the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina after a report was received in October of this year that a worker during the construction work at that location spotted remains believed to be of human origin.

Investigators from the Missing Persons Institute of Bosnia and Herzegovina immediately went to the field, and the work was then suspended until the exhumation was scheduled.
