Industrial production in the Republika Srpska (RS) is growing, mostly in the field of ore and stone extraction, according to the latest statistical data.
Seasonally adjusted industrial production
The total seasonally adjusted industrial production in January this year, compared to December 2022, was higher by 2.6 percent. The production of capital products grew the most, by 16.5 percent, and intermediate products by 9.1 percent. More energy was produced by 4.9 percent, and non-durable consumer goods by 0.3 percent.
At the same time, the production of durable products for mass consumption is lower by 21.8 percent.
According to areas and regions, seasonally adjusted industrial production in the field of mining and quarrying registered a growth of 30.8 percent, while in the field of processing industry, a decrease of 0.1 percent was recorded and in the field of production and supply of electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning a drop of 0.5 percent.
Calendar adjusted production
The total calendar-adjusted industrial production in January this year is 3.7 percent higher than in the same month a year earlier.
The production of capital products increased by 16.9 percent, non-durable consumer goods by 8.5 percent, and intermediate products by seven percent. Energy production is lower by 1.3 percent and durable consumer goods by 31.8 percent.
As for the area, the calendar-adjusted industrial production in the area of mining and quarrying recorded a growth of 15.6 percent, in the area of the processing industry growth of 1.9 percent, while in the area of production and supply of electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning a decrease of 1.9 percent was recorded.
