Croatian roads are starting the construction of a new entrance to the city of Split via the Vucevica junction and the Kozjak tunnel, and one of the largest construction companies in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) will be involved in this work.

The connecting road from the “Vucevica” junction, on the A1 highway to the D8 junction, the subdivision “Vucevica” junction – the northern portal of the Kozjak tunnel, which is the entrance to the Croatian city of Split, will be built by the Euro-Asfalt company from Sarajevo.

Namely, on December 13th last year, the Croatian Roads Administration made a decision to select a company for this job.

At the tender, Euro-Asfalt offered to build this road for 26.2 million HRK without VAT (about 6.8 million BAM). This means that a meter of this road will cost 65.585 BAM (slightly more than 17.000 BAM).

It is a 400-meter-long road that will connect the highway with the future state road. That road should pass under the existing highway.

The deadline for completing the work is 12 months.

Euro-Asfalt is currently building the DC 403 road in Rijeka together with GP Krk in Croatia, Biznis Info reports.
