The Export Value of the Textile industry recorded Increase of 1.8 billion BAM

The export value of the textile, clothing, leather and footwear industry in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2023 was 1,864,925,173 BAM, which is 30,849,817 BAM more than the previous year, the Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH confirmed.

According to the latest available data, there are 464 companies operating in the textile, clothing, leather and footwear industry in Bosnia and Herzegovina, employing 32,307 workers.

VTKBiH states that companies that have built their own brand face a number of challenges, including the constant rise in raw material prices.

These challenges affect their ability to market goods. It is important to note that most of the companies in that industry perform “lohn” jobs for well-known foreign brands, while there are a smaller number of those who develop their own brands independently.

All face various challenges, including issues related to raw material prices, market competition and changes in demand.

That industry, even though it faces numerous challenges such as rising prices of raw materials and market competition, still remains a vital part of the economy of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

It is critical that companies continue to innovate and adapt to change in order to remain competitive in the global marketplace.

Also, support and cooperation between companies within the industry can be one of the key factors for overcoming challenges and achieving further growth and development.
