Yesterday, the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) should decide on allocating one million BAM to subsidize citizens who buy electric and hybrid cars, confirmed the Federal Minister of Energy, Mining and Industry Nermin Dzindic.

”The Ministry has created a Program for the allocation of subsidies to individuals for the purchase of new cars in 2022, which have exclusively Electric-Drive and cars that, in addition to the internal combustion engine, are also run by Electric-Drive (hybrid cars). The vehicle will be kept in possession for at least two years,” Dzindic said.

The amount allocated as a financial incentive to individuals is also defined.

That is 10.000 BAM for electric vehicles, 5.000 BAM for hybrid electric ‘plug-in’ vehicles, and 5.000 BAM for hybrid ‘full hybrid’ vehicles.

Funds will be allocated on the basis of a public call after the decision is published in the Official Gazette of FBiH, and the purpose of the Program is to allocate subsidies and funds to individuals for the purchase of new cars registered in the FBiH for 01.01.2022-12.12.2022, which have exclusively Electric-Drive (electric cars) and cars that, in addition to the internal combustion engine, are also run by Electric-Drive (hybrid cars).

An ineligible beneficiary of the subsidy is a beneficiary who in 2022 has already exercised the right to a subsidy for the purchase of vehicles from the budget for 2022, at any level of government in the FBiH, Klix.ba writes.
