The goals, significance, this year’s routes, and participating teams of the cycling race “Tour of Bosnia and Herzegovina”, which will be held in April, were presented in Mostar.

This is a new and strategically important sporting project that will position Bosnia and Herzegovina on the map of professional world cycling and strongly promote the country as a destination for sport, tourism, and international cooperation.

The first edition of the “Tour of Bosnia and Herzegovina” will take place from April 17, when a caravan of professional teams will set off from Sarajevo toward the Grand Finale on the Adriatic coast in Neum.

The race consists of three stages, covering a total of 390 kilometers and 4,400 meters of total ascent, connecting the country’s interior with its only access to the sea. The first stage, from Sarajevo to Mostar, is 148 km long with 1,370 meters of climbing; the second stage, from Mostar to Ljubuški, covers 122 km with 1,406 meters of climbing; while the third stage, from Ljubuški to Neum, is 118 km with 1,676 meters of climbing.
